Dernière mise à jour : 30 janv. 2022

If you are a diabetic patient or you have a family member or dear person diabetic, you should know the key factors to manage diabetes and live a healthier normal life.

a doctor or primary care provider can help you learn the basics of diabetes care and offer support along the way. But it's up to you to manage your condition. These are the most important factors you should focus on:

diet:

It is very obvious that what diabetes patients eat is the most important to manage diabetes, but it's a little overwhelming to know what to eat and what to avoid because there is a big misconception regarding the matter. Sugar and sweets are to be avoided, but what about carbohydrates? You might need a little help to know what your shopping list should have and should not. therefore we recommend having a special diabetes cookbook to help you know more about the ingredients and how to cook them to not spike your sugar.

I recommend this cookbook check it out from here or any cookbook from your local store

physical activity:

physical activity is a crucial factor to manage your diabetes. Regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do to lower your blood sugar. being active makes your body more sensitive to insulin (the hormone that allows cells in your body to use blood sugar for energy), which helps manage your diabetes. It also lowers your risk of heart disease and nerve damage. Therefore try to make working out one of your priorities. If you are too busy to hit the gym at least try to move more: walk at least 30 minutes a day, take the stairs instead of the elevator just be active, and don't sit for too long.

stress:

Your body's stress hormones ( adrenaline and cortisol) may have a direct impact on your glucose levels. When you're stressed or feel threatened, your body responds. It produces adrenaline and cortisol into your system, Blood is directed to the muscles and limbs of your body, helping you to battle the circumstance. If you have diabetes, your body may not be able to handle the glucose generated by your firing nerve cells. If you can't turn glucose into energy, it accumulates in your bloodstream. Your blood glucose levels will rise as a result of this. So try to avoid stress as much as possible. Make a list of your priorities. Learn relaxation techniques. and take it easy.

body care:

cuts and blisters can lead to serious infections. Diabetes can lead to pain, tingling, therefore, be careful using sharp objects and don't walk barefoot. check your feet for cuts, blisters, swelling, or redness on a regular basis.

If you have a sore or other foot condition that isn't healing within a few days, see your doctor. If you have an open sore on your foot, see your doctor right away.

choose comfortable shoes.

learn how to deal:

being diabetic is your job to search and read to educate yourself and learn how to cope with your condition. learn techniques to control it and read about others' experiences to help maybe reverse it.
